ack, i haven’t touched L4D2 much lately. i’ve been on a quest for months trying to beat the campaigns on expert, with no such luck. from what i’ve been reading in various forums, unless you’re ridiculously good at the game, finding a good team of 3 (hard enough as it is) willing to sit there for 4+ hours playing the same campaign, is difficult. and i have no interest in glitches. as an adult trying to maintain a full-time job and a social life, i don’t think it’s gonna happen anytime soon. i often end up quitting early after 3+ hours of the same campaign.
while i don’t think i’m awesome, i don’t think i suck. it’s so frustrating (and time consuming) that when all 4 players die, you’re sent back to the last checkpoint, which can be as far back as 15-20 minutes. even after multiple failures, the AI director is remains ruthless. i’m not complaining that the game is too hard, but there are lots of “cheap shots” in the game, and it feels off-balanced.
after continuously playing ‘expert’, i turned the difficult down to ‘advanced’, and finish the campaigns with ease. after playing both continuously, the difficulty between advanced and expert is A LOT.
also, i’m having a lot of issues joining games, and frankly, i don’t want to deal with.
besides, i need to finish Mass Effect 2 before February 23, in time for Heavy Rain.
